The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal four-vehicle collision that occurred in Laurel on Monday. The deceased driver of one of the involved vehicles is 28- year-old Stephanie Johnstone of Harwood, MD.
On May 6, 2024, at approximately 12:30 pm, officers responded to a collision in the 11200 block of Laurel Bowie Road involving four vehicles. Once on scene, they located the victim in the roadway suffering from trauma. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed that one vehicle was entering a curve in the road and collided with another vehicle causing a train reaction. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
