The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred in Suitland on Sunday. The deceased passenger of one of the involved vehicles is 25-year-old Tyrone Allen Jr. of Washington D.C.
On May 5, 2024, at approximately 3:55 pm, officers responded to a collision in the 3600 block of Silver Hill Road involving a sedan and pickup truck. Allen Jr. was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The injuries sustained by the involved drivers and other passengers were not considered life-threatening.
The preliminary investigation revealed that both vehicles collided in the eastbound lane of Silver Hill Road. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
At the time of the collision, information was provided that one or more of the occupants within the sedan were suffering from suspected gunshot wounds. However, medical personnel confirmed that the occupants of the sedan did not sustain gunshot wounds. All injuries were related to the vehicle collision.
