The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a single-car crash that occurred on Sunday in the unincorporated portion of Hyattsville. The driver, 18-year-old Jose Casarrubias Sanchez of Beltsville, died the following day.
On November 22, 2020, at approximately 12:15 am, officers responded to the 5600 block of Ager Road. The preliminary investigation reveals the victim was traveling southbound on Ager Road when for reasons that are under investigation, he veered off the roadway to the left and struck a median. The car ultimately struck a fence. Casarrubias Sanchez was the only occupant in the car. He died of his injuries on November 23, 2020.
