PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a single-vehicle fatal collision in Accokeek. The deceased passenger is 20-year-old Cadence Cox of Capitol Heights.

On October 7, 2024, at approximately 3:30 am, officers responded to a single-vehicle collision in the 1100 block of Bryans Point Road.

Cox was pronounced deceased on the scene. The involved driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle was traveling westbound on Bryans Point Road, when for reasons under investigation, lost control and ultimately struck a tree.
