The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that took place in Clinton Friday evening. The deceased driver is 33-year-old Ezequiel Maza Espadas of Clinton.
On January 10, 2025, at approximately 8:10 pm, officers responded to the 9800 block of Surratts Road for a single-vehicle crash. Maza Espadas was pronounced deceased on the scene. An adult male passenger was not injured.
The preliminary investigation revealed Maza Espadas was traveling southbound on Surratts Road, when for reasons under investigation, he lost control and struck a utility pole.
