The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that took place Friday evening in the unincorporated section of Hyattsville. The deceased driver is 36-year-old Sehirbie Rouse of Brentwood, MD.
On February 28, 2025, at approximately 6:50 pm, officers responded to the 5400 block of Tuxedo Road for a crash involving two vehicles. Rouse was transported to the hospital and was pronounced deceased a short time later. The second involved driver suffered what appear to be minor injuries.
The preliminary investigation revealed Rouse was traveling eastbound on Tuxedo Road, when for reasons now under investigation, he crossed into the westbound lanes and struck the second vehicle.
