The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle on Saturday afternoon in Hyattsville. The deceased rider is 23-year-old Angel Aguilar of University Park.
On August 31, 2024, at approximately 3:05 pm, officers with the Hyattsville City Police Department responded to the 4300 block of East West Highway for the report of a crash involving a motorcycle and SUV. Once on scene, officers located the rider on a sidewalk. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene and was not injured. Detectives are working to determine the cause of the crash.
