PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Crash Involving Motorcycle

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle. The deceased rider is 69-year-old Roger Ferguson of Upper Marlboro.



On August 22, 2024, at approximately 7:15 pm, officers responded to the area of Landover Road near Route 50. Ferguson was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The involved driver was not injured.



The preliminary investigation revealed Ferguson and the driver collided in the southbound lanes of Landover Road. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
