PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Collision

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that occurred Friday in Seat Pleasant. The deceased rider is 30-year-old Calvin Cornelius Days II of Washington, DC.


On July 15, 2022, at approximately 1:45 pm, officers responded to the area of East Capitol Street and Yacht Place for a collision involving a motorcycle and a dump truck.

The preliminary investigation revealed Days was travelling westbound on East Capitol Street at the time of the collision. The driver of the dump truck was attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound East Capitol Street from southbound Yacht Place, requiring him to cross over the westbound lanes of East Capitol Street. While attempting that turn, the truck and motorcycle collided. Days was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the dump truck was not injured and remained on scene.

The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all fatal crashes in the city of Seat Pleasant.
