PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Accokeek

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred early Sunday morning in Accokeek. The deceased pedestrian is 60-year-old Kenneth Langley of Parkersburg, West Virginia.



On August 2nd, at approximately 12:55 am, patrol officers were called to the 17000 block of northbound Indian Head Highway for a collision involving a pedestrian. The officers located the victim in the roadway. He was pronounced dead on the scene.



The preliminary investigationsuggests Langley was in the roadway when he was struck by two vehicles traveling in the northbound lanes. Both of the involved drivers stayed on the scene. The preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk at the time.
