PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Camp Springs

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred Saturday night. The deceased pedestrian’s name will be released once his family is notified.


On June 27th, at approximately 10:50 pm, patrol officers were called to the 4700 block of Allentown Road for a pedestrian collision.The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was in the roadway on Allentown Road when he was struck by a car in the northbound lanes. The victim was then struck by a second car a short time later. The driver of the second vehicle did not remain on the scene. Preliminarily, it appears the victim was not in a crosswalk when he was struck.

Investigators do not have a description of the second vehicle that struck the pedestrian.
