PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Clinton

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred early Saturday morning in Clinton. Efforts are underway to identify the pedestrian so the family can be notified.

On October 16, 2021, at approximately 1:55 am, patrol officers responded to the 7800 block of Woodyard Road for a collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.



The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was in the roadway on Woodyard Road when struck by a car in the eastbound lanes. The driver of the car remained on scene. The driver was not injured. Preliminarily, it appears the victim was not in a crosswalk when struck.

PGPD Investiga Mortal Choque Peatonal en Clinton

La Unidad de Análisis y Reconstrucción de Choques investiga un mortal choque peatonal que ocurrió temprano en la mañana del sábado en Clinton. Se están llevando a cabo labores para identificar al peatón de manera que se pueda notificar a sus familiares.

El 16 de octubre de 2021, a eso de las 1:55 am, nuestros oficiales de patrulla acudieron a la cuadra 7800 Woodyard Road para atender un choque que involucraba a un peatón. Al peatón le declararon muerto en la escena.

La investigación preliminar reveló que la víctima estaba en la carretera en Woodyard Road cuando le impactó un vehículo en los carriles de dirección este. El conductor del vehículo permaneció en la escena y no resultó herido. De manera preliminar, todo apunta a que la víctima no se encontraba en un cruce peatonal cuando fue impactada.
