PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Fort Washington

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision and Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred this weekend. The victim is 43-year-old Lawrence Sedgwick of Constellation Court in Fort Washington.

On June 23rd, shortly after midnight, patrol officers were called to a service road that parallels the 11000 block of Indian Head Highway for a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The preliminary investigation suggests the involved car was travelling northbound on the service road when it struck the pedestrian who was walking in one of the lanes of the service road. The driver remained on the scene. He was not hurt.
