PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting in Suitland

Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday in Suitland. The victim is 30-year-old Brian Speaks of Suitland. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.

On November 15, 2024, at approximately 5:45 pm, officers responded to the 3500 block of Parkway Terrace Drive for the report of a shooting. Officers located the victim inside of an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).

....well sire, its like this...Brian was a tad touched in the head... way back in the day, I was doin some maintenence work on Parkway Terrace Drive, right nexta Suitland Parkway... back then you could scrap metal, tin cans, hub caps whatever for a purty penny... well, me and Myron, a guy I met downta liquor store was looking for anything we could scrap behind this old buildin, (usta be a fillin station) and we come upon an old cash register!!! Yeah, down in the bushes. We figured it must been tooken from a robbery or some such so, we figured, Hellfire, it still may have some coins or some such in it... well, that where Brian came in.... shoooooot nuthin in it!
