PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting in Takoma Park

Detectives with the Homicide Unit are working to arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed a man Tuesday night in a section of unincorporated Takoma Park. The victim is 39-year-old Luis Antino Perez of Washington, DC.

On August 31, 2021, at 7:50 pm, patrol officers responded to the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue for the report of an unresponsive male. Once on scene, officers located Perez in an outdoor stairwell suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to establish a motive and identify the suspect(s) in the case.
