The Prince George’s County Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning in the town of Riverdale Park. The victim’s identity will be released once notification is made to his family.

On December 20th, at approximately 12:25 am, patrol officers with the Riverdale Park Police Department were called to the 5400 block of Kenilworth Terrace for a shooting. They discovered the victim outside of a building suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to develop suspect(s) and a motive in this case.

The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides that occur in
the town of Riverdale Park.
