Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the Town of Fairmount Heights on Tuesday night. The victim is 20-year-old Briana Green of Suitland.
On October 15th, at approximately 8:15 pm, officers with the Fairmount Heights Police Department responded to the 1000 block of 56th Avenue for a shooting. They discovered the victim inside of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s). Preliminarily, they do not believe this was a random crime.
