Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday morning at MGM Resort and Casino in Oxon Hill. The victim, an adult male will be identified once his family is notified. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On May 11, 2024, at approximately 4:50 am PGPD officers responded to the 100 block of MGM National Ave after MGM Special Police and Security reported a shooting. Once on scene, they located the victim in the parking garage suffering from gunshot wounds. PGPD officers performed life-saving measures, however the victim succumbed to his injuries on scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect shot the victim during a dispute.
Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s).
