PGPD PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting

Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night in the unincorporated section of Hyattsville. The victim is 23-year-old Adam Hashim of Lanham. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.

On October 29, 2024, at approximately 11:00 pm, officers responded to the 7000 block of Highview Terrace for the report of a shooting. Officers located the victim in an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
