PGPD PGPD Investigating Homicide in the Town of Colmar Manor

Prince George’s County Police detectives are actively investigating a homicide that occurred in the town of Colmar Manor on Monday. The victim is identified as 24-year-old Franklin Vasquez of Colmar Manor. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.



On September 7th, at approximately 8:00 pm, officers responded to a park in the 3500 block of 37th Avenue for a stabbing. The officers discovered Vasquez suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.



The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides that occur within the jurisdiction of Maryland-National Capital Park Police.
