PGPD PGPD Releases Video of Suspect in Attempted Carjacking

The Carjacking Interdiction Unit released video of the suspect wanted for recently attempting to carjack a victim. The crime occurred on July 11, 2024, shortly after 4:00 am in the 9500 block of Crain Highway in unincorporated Upper Marlboro.




In the surveillance video, the suspect is initially seen walking by the victim’s vehicle which is parked in front of a building. The victim is sitting in the driver’s seat. A short time later, the suspect is seen circling back in the parking lot and again approaching the vehicle. He opens the driver’s door and tries to pull the victim out of the vehicle. The suspect eventually runs off without the vehicle. The victim was not injured.
