I have a question...I have received various text messages from a phone # I do not know. I called the # back, dude would not tell me who he was. Texted it back, got a text that just said "Sorry, wrong #". This started a little over a month ago, and since then, I have received messages that are obviously meant for someone else. I called the phone provider, but of course they won't give me the persons name. Then the last time I got a text, I had someone else call it from their phone and try to find out who it was. Later that day, I called the # from a different phone and the phone # had been disconnected. Anyone know how I can find out who the hell it was????? I also did a reverse phone # lookup on the 'net...nothing came up.

You didn't get a picture of something someone pee'd on, did you? I hear there's a lot of that going around.

Call your cell service provider and ask them to block the number from your phone. Also, tell them to the unauthorized texts off of your monthly limit. You should not have to pay for them.

Tried that, too, I have Verizon, they said they can not block one particular number, which I think is a load of BS. But I want to know who it is. That's all I want, I'm not pizzed off about the charges, I have unlimited texting. The texter's provider is Sprint.

It is BS. I know for a fact that they will block someone's number for you. Or atleast, they did last year.

Try calling your voice mail and after your put in your password press 2 then they ask you to enter the persons number and a recording usally comes up saying their name sometimes its just a blank but its worth a try :shrug:

I tried this, it said the phone number was not a recognized destination. Bummer.....anyone else????? There has to be a way...

Yeah, but that's only for texts sent via computer, not a regular handset. Mine are coming from a regular cell handset. Like I said, not its a curiosity thing, I want to know WHO it is.
