ANNAPOLIS, MDGovernor Larry Hogan today toured the new, 55,000-square foot mass vaccination site at M&T Bank Stadium. It is the third mass vaccination site in the state, and the second in Baltimore City. The site opens on the same day the state has reported a new record of 31,050 shots per day.

The governor was joined by Brigadier General Janeen Birckhead, head of the Maryland Vaccine Equity Task Force; Dr. Mohan Suntha, president and CEO of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS); Dr. Jason Marx, vaccination site leader; and Michael Frenz, executive director of the Maryland Stadium Authority.

“As we continue to vaccinate more and more Marylanders, each day brings us closer to seeing this stadium packed with fans again,” said Governor Hogan. “We continue to push for increased vaccine production and distribution so that we can realize the full potential of all of our mass sites, which are capable of vaccinating thousands of Marylanders per day.”
