ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today attended and delivered remarks at Curtis Engine’s 75th anniversary celebration in Baltimore, Md. Curtis Engine, a distributor of power generator sets, engines, and switchgear was founded in Maryland in 1944 and remains locally owned and operated to this day. Governor Hogan was joined by Trip Harrison, President of Curtis Engine, Paul Koch, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Curtis Engine, as well as company employees and board members.
“I want to extend my sincere congratulations to Trip, Paul, and the entire Curtis Engine team on reaching this incredible milestone of 75 years,” said Governor Hogan. “Starting in Baltimore City in 1944 and growing into a thriving, respected, and highly specialized distributor is an amazing Maryland – and a uniquely American – business success story.”
Curtis Engine currently services over 3,000 generator sets located throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. These generator sets are used in a variety of applications from emergency standby to peak shaving, co-generation and prime power plants paralleled to the grid. Curtis Engine maintains many of the most critical facilities in the region, clients include federal installations, data centers, hospitals, 911 centers, airports, correctional facilities, universities, manufacturing plants, property management firms, and national retail stores.
