ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today participated in the grand opening of the Calvin and Tina Tyler Hall Student Services Building at Morgan State University. The new state-of-the-art facility will serve as a hub for some of the university’s student services and support areas.
“As our state’s preeminent public urban research university, this incredible institution constantly develops well-rounded leaders with a moral compass,” said Governor Hogan. “The state-of-the-art facility we are celebrating today will serve as the gateway to Morgan’s campus. The State of Maryland was proud to strongly support this project with the investment of more than $88 million.”
Tyler Hall serves as the new home to the admission office, records and registration, financial aid, and the registrar. The 140,000 square-foot, five-story facility includes lobby space, meeting rooms, office space, and a green roof.
In total, the State of Maryland has committed more than $660 million for capital projects for the growth and advancement of Morgan State University.
