“Today is yet another exciting sign of continued progress as we celebrate the opening of this upgraded, new transit campus, which will be a vital component to the long-term success of Ocean City, and will help ensure that this town is ready to safely and efficiently transport more visitors and residents as we all work to put the pandemic behind us,” said Governor Hogan. “We know how devastating this pandemic has been, but we’re hopeful for a much stronger spring and summer season here at Maryland’s premier vacation destination.”

The original 65th Street campus was built nearly 40 years ago in 1982 with a fleet of 13 buses and a staff of 20 employees. The upgraded campus now houses all necessary bus operations facilities, including a bus barn, fuel depot, as well as a driver and administrative building. The new Public Works Complex was dedicated to Ocean City Public Works Director Hal Adkins.
