ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today delivered remarks and cut the ribbon at the new Under Armour Omni Distribution House (ODH), a 1.3-million-square-foot distribution and warehouse facility at Sparrows Point in Baltimore County. Governor Hogan was joined by Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary Kelly M. Schulz, Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank, Vice President of North American Distribution Houses Billy Werner, Senior Director of Operations Rob Bowen, Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh, and Hall of Fame Ravens Linebacker Ray Lewis.
“Through Kevin Plank’s visionary leadership, Under Armour has become one of our state’s most iconic international brands and an incredible asset for more than 20 years,” said Governor Hogan. “With the addition of this beautiful, 1.3-million-square-foot distribution and warehouse facility, Under Armour is taking another important step forward by becoming the largest new tenant at the transformative, 3,100-acre Tradepoint Atlantic project.”
Under Armour’s new ODH has over 600 employees and features state-of-the-art equipment and systems to enhance the company’s product distribution. It is Under Armour’s fourth distribution facility in the United States and the second in the surrounding area of the company’s headquarters in Baltimore, Md.
To help pave the way for the project, the Maryland Department of Commerce has approved a $2 million conditional loan through the Maryland Economic Development Assistance Authority and Fund (MEDAAF) and will fund an additional $2 million in real property and infrastructure improvements through the Maryland Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO).
