ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan made multiple stops on the Eastern Shore today as he continues to highlight COVID-19 vaccination and recovery efforts across the state.
OC Summer Kick Off. Governor Hogan joined Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan and local elected officials in planting the first umbrella of the season, a 75-year-old tradition started by Governor Herbert O’Connor in 1946. The event paid tribute to fallen heroes, as well as the health care heroes of the pandemic.
Snow Hill High School. Governor Hogan toured Snow Hill High School in Worcester County, alma mater of Brigadier General Janeen Birckhead, head of the Maryland Vaccine Equity Task Force.
The Giving House. The Giving House in Salisbury is the historic home of the TidalHealth Foundation, which works to expand community access to physical and mental wellness.
Evolution Craft Brewing. The governor visited a shot-and-a-beer clinic at Evolution Brewing in Salisbury as a part of the GoVAX Summer Tour, which will bring mobile clinics to cultural and community events across the state.
