Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill. This afternoon, Governor Hogan stopped by the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill—one of only two 5 Star events in the United States, and one of only seven worldwide.

During the event, Governor Hogan presented a proclamation recognizing October as Maryland Horse Month proclamation on behalf of the abundant economic, historic, recreational, and therapeutic contributions made by the state’s horse industry. In June, the governor led successful trade mission to France and Ireland and met with equine industry officials where agreements were signed with equestrian organizations recognizing the international stature of Maryland’s horse industry and offering beneficial cooperative strategies.

Constellation Land Donation. Earlier today, Governor Hogan joined Constellation and local elected officials to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Constellation’s generous donation of hundreds of acres along the Susquehanna River. The Hogan administration has made it a top priority to promote land conservation and to preserve Maryland’s green spaces by making historic investments in state parks and supporting the outdoor recreation economy, which supports over 109,000 jobs across the state.
