ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today toured the state’s newest mass vaccination site located in Anne Arundel County at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The governor was joined by Vice Admiral Sean S. Buck, Superintendent of the United States Naval Academy, Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman, Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley, Secretary Dennis Schrader of the Maryland Department of Health, and Brigadier General Janeen L. Birckhead, head of the Maryland Vaccine Equity Task Force.
The site has the capacity to administer 1,500 vaccinations daily. As of today, 81% of Marylanders 65 and older, and 51.9% of Marylanders 18 and older, have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
All Marylanders 16 and older are encouraged to pre-register for an appointment at a mass vaccination site by visiting covidvax.maryland.gov.
