ANNAPOLIS, MD—Following Governor Hogan’s economic recovery announcement in Berlin this morning, he made a series of stops throughout the area.
Natural Resources Police Fast Boat. The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) Fast Boat is used for drug interdiction, rescues, and other public safety activities.
Martin Fish Company. The governor presented a citation to Martin Fish Company, which has served local seafood for more than 60 years. This family-owned business adapted their operations during the COVID-19 pandemic to offer carryout and walk-up service.
Ocean City Marlin Club. Located in West Ocean City, the Ocean City Marlin Club organizes several state and nationally renowned fishing tournaments and promotes the conservation of aquatic creatures. Governor Hogan stopped by to present a citation to the club, which worked with several state agencies during the pandemic to develop protocols that would allow the tournaments to continue in a safe, limited capacity.
Surfers Healing. Surfers Healing, a global non-profit organization, provides surfing lessons to children with autism, and annually serves 4,500 children and their families through volunteer-staffed camps. The governor presented the group with a citation for their efforts.
GoVax Mobile Clinic. The latest stop on the GoVax Summer Tour included a mobile clinic at the Ocean City Convention Center during the Maryland Municipal League (MML) summer conference.
