Physical Therapy recommendations?

My brother is looking for some recommendations for a good physical therapy place in St. Marys county. He is going to require intense physical therapy.

He has a bulging disc in his lower back that is really, really painful. His one leg is also numb from the disc. He has had the MRI. The doctor has recommended intense physical therapy.

Thanks.

I am not sure if physical therapy and chiropractors are two different things but I will take recommendations for either. Thanks.

Highly recommend them. Dr. Hester is great and they have an awesome physical therapy clinic in house. (also massage and acupuncture).

Calvert Physical Therapist in Solomons, just over the bridge. Kathy or Amy are excellent and they really do a great job. I had back surgery and I feel great. The number is (301) 855-1013. I know you were looking for St. Mary's, but they are at the bottom of the bridge in Calvert.

If he can drive to Calvert I know a great PT.

I'm actually looking too. I've been to NoVA Care and the other place in Leonardtown (can't think of the name). I need a facility that will take the time to truly work with me and utilize all modalities necessary - massage, ultrasound, weights, pool, traction, heat & stim, etc... I am willing to go to Solomons or locally in St. Mary's - and will check their credentials and facilities against my insurance upon posted recommendations. I first have to go to the Pain Center in Calvert and will probably begin PT in a couple of weeks. :yay:
