POSTED: 11:04 AM EST January 22, 2004
CHILLUM, Md. -- Prince George's County authorities want to talk to the driver of a pickup truck who caused a flash fire Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 7 a.m. at a Shell station on Riggs Road in Chillum, Md.
Prince George's County fire spokesman Mark Brady said the driver of a pickup truck was trying to position the vehicle but got too close to the gas pump and knocked it over.
Brady said gasoline inside the pump then spilled and a spark from some electrical wires ignited the gas, causing a small flash fire.
No one was hurt, but Brady said the driver of the truck sped away after the spill.
Authorities are searching for a medium sized blue pickup truck.
