Pigs being slaughtered?

See - this is the problem. Humans have become over-sensitized to bloody grizzled deaths to animals, because the vast majority of us no longer have to do the dirty work when it comes to food.

We go to our jobs in our clean offices, we get a tidy check at the end of the week and we go to the grocery store and buy clean packages of meat, and not one drop of blood touches our hands, or one whiff of viscera fills our nostrils.




This is why I make it a point at least 3 times a year to strip down to a leather loincloth, run down an animal (deer or a cow usually), kill it with my bare hands and teeth and commune with my natural instincts as my entire body and hair is soaked in the blood of my prey.


After those adventures, I feel so at one with nature that I could just ####.

I remember doing that stuff as a kid and making homemade scrapple and sausage.

He is "smiling" he does it on command..HIs nose is pointed in the above pic so you can see his teeth..look at it knowing that and you will see it better he has is nose all wrinkled up..

If we as a human race had to fend for ourselves most people would starve because it's too icky or gross...

I would say, die of hunger...

First I would like to Thank everyone for their 2 cents. Really thats about all it was worth... I eat meat, yes, and I know where it comes from, I know how its done (sorta), but honestly, was bothered that it was filmed.

And yes IDIOTS! I changed the channel!

what everyone is forgetting here is that the pig wasnt simply point blank shot and killed and THEN left to bleed out. the pig was comletlely alive, and can feel every bit of that pain for the last few MINTUTES of its death. There is no reason why our kids in the neighborhood have to wonder onto this channel and see a pig screaming and shaking on the ground with a bullit hole or a stab wound to the chest. Most people with a heart kill the animal first then let it bleed out. it was a horrible thing to see and i will be complainng to anyone who will listen. dont like me for my views, tell it to someone who cares, it should never have found its way on to a channel for our local county

I like my chickens but I think I could wring their neck and eat one if I had too..dont think I could do it to my pig or horse but I could do it to one I did not know..:faint:

And yes Im an IDIOT because I just thought about changing the channel but I love whining too much and had nothing to do so I wrote a letter that no one will care about because I was too lazy to change the channel on my remote and just wanted something to b about for 17hrs.!

Honestly I would NOT like to see it either..I have a remote and thumbs I would switch the channel..if the neighbor was killing hogs I would go away for the weekend..because I know one and love one I would not like to see or hear that either..I could just imagine the sound..the other day a chicken went in Wees pig house and sat on his back..the screams that came from him were gut wrenching..I could only imagine the sound if he was hurt.....I see your point to some extent..but I would remove myself from the situation..if they are on their property their pigs..their business..

Usually they are flipped to their side and someone puts their knee on the stomach to help the process.
