Two of my favorite dishes that Mom makes. Stuffed peppers were just stuffed peppers. Pigs in a Blanket is a mixture of ground beef and rice rolled up in a cabbage leaf and baked in tomato sauce. Boy, do I miss those dishes. My family will eat the individual ingredients but not althogether in one dish.

I haven't had pigs in a blanket in years....

No. What you described is something that in my family we like to call "sausages wrapped in pancakes". :huggy:

:lmao:

I've always know pigs-in-a-blanket to be hot dogs, or more usually, the smokey joe mini dog wrapped in a thin piece of dough and baked. You can make them easy enough, or just buy them oven ready in the freezer section. Make up your own honey or honey mustard dip and you're all set.

Or go to McDonalds drive thru and ask for their dipping sauce.

Now I am hungry and my multigrain cheerios just aren't going to do it for me this morning.

Depends on which part of America you are from and which immigrant group settled there...

Slovak immigrants to America called this dish "pigs in a blanket" or halupki. Gołąbki rolls are usually fist-sized when fully stuffed or rolled. Spiced pork is ...
