Pimiento cheese

I love it, Monello hates it. Which is strange because normally I don't like what I call goober and smack, and he does like that sort of thing.

Anyway, that's what I'm having for lunch - pimiento cheese with crackers and hard salami.

Love it and, with a little sour cream, it makes great chip dip.

Goes well with Pepperoni slices and a beer too.

South Carolina was where I picked up my jones. Boone Hall Market in Mount Pleasant has excellent fresh pimiento cheese in their deli.

I don't like slimy foods, including okra. Also don't get the southern thing of salted peanuts and Coke. My stepfather used to put salted peanuts in his beer.

Chow chow relish is pretty good though.

It is quite tasty and used to make my own from the garden, then can it. Also green tomato relish. Yum!

I make my own and add about 2 mg of crushed Valium per serving, and a mere dash of hot sauce. After Sunday services, a pimento cheese sandwich (crust removed of course) and a Mint Julip, we all feeling southern then! Do declare!

They used to have this brand at Giant. I bought some other stuff and threw it away; it was awful. Though I do not shop at wal fart, that would be a reason to go there.

God no, they taste like under cooked white beans with a slime coating.
