Pit Bull Rescue Org???

So I was wondering if there was any Pit Bull Rescue organizations around Southern Maryland. I know a couple who has a pit bull/mix and they are unable to take care of her anymore. She is an adult female and not a very social dog and def not a dog that can be around kids and probably other animals so it would need to be an only animal house.

They have talked about taking it to the pound and i def don't want to see this happen. Any suggestions????

I had thought about taking her in but I have a little chihuahua which they can't be around each other (I've tried) and I don't want the pit to be a dog that has to stay in the cage all of the time.

Sounds like the pound is the best place. Because really if the dog is that bad socially and she gets out and hurts someone or their pet, the idiots will have more fodder for their pit ban and frankly I would like to keep mine.
