Piwackit Pays Up

Piwackit sounded frisky this morning as she scrambled and ran around the house this morning. After everything got quiet, while on my way out to leave for work, I discovered that Mr. Mouse had met his demise as a result of Piwackit's hunting skills. I deposited his remains rather unceremoniously in the kitchen trash can. Good kitty!

I thought her name was just Pi. Good job, Piwackit! I guess you extended her name after she caught Mr. Mouse. Love it! :killingme

Is she front declawed? My cats are, and they amaze me that they can catch mice, anyway.

I threatened to call her "Pie" because she's such a piglet when it comes to food, but no, her original name was Piwackit - "Pi" for short, and one of these days if she really ticks me off I shall tell her that she has lost 3.1415929 lives out of 9 - and not to screw up what's left.

She still has all 16 claws, and has yet to use any of them on me. I think Mr. Mouse might not have been so lucky.

Pi is on "Mouse Patrol" again this morning! She is currently stalking a very small dark-colored mouse which was hiding under the refrigerator. Pi asked me to pull the refrigerator out, and the mouse dashed into the bathroom. Looks like it's hiding under the vanity.

I have a flat, and I mean flat-faced Persian that can catch Mice like the best of them!

Pi got another mouse this morning. Just flushed it down the toilet because it was still breathing. I feel sorry for the little mice, but they chose to come in here, and I won't deal with the destruction and diseases.

ANYway, I'm so glad that Pi is such a good "mouser!"

Having Fun!
She's named for a seal-point Siamese cat in the movie "Bell, Book, and Candle" starring Kim Novak and Jimmy Stewart. Lucky cat, that. Should have been nominated for Best Supporting Feline.

...and that's why I thought it was an interesting name for the cat. Spelling's a bit off, though...

Origins going back a bit further than Bell, Book & Candle...

(and their original source, query 4 - http://www.gutenberg.org/files/14015/14015-h/14015-h.htm )

And yes, I am a :nerd: :lmao:

Yeah, I know the spelling's off. There are a couple of different spellings out there. I chose to spell it "Piwackit" so that her nickname is "Pi" (3.14159).

TOO sad

I went into the unused bathroom looking for a light bulb a few minutes ago and found mama mouse and 3 tiny pink newborns in their nest made of shredded toilet paper in one of the vanity drawers. Mama got away but I had to dispose of the babies and the nest.

OMG I feel like sh!t.

I don't like mice & don't want them in my house but I'm not sure I could have done that...it would have haunted me. (and right now I'm sure I'm getting "that look" from my husband...)
