I try not to be a fan of an actor. A character they play, yes. The actor, no. I've been disappointed too many times by these people and am off of admiring anyone I don't personally know.
I do think drugs and pedophilia are like the casting couch - if you refuse to partake you'll be punished by not getting any good parts. If someone I knew ODed on an illegal drug I'd be shocked; to Hollyweirds it's just another day because everyone they know is an addict and kiddie rapist. I still can't get over them all giving child rapist Roman Polanski a standing ovation.

Background for mainly younger people: Roman Polanski - 8/9/69, while Polanski was working in London, his pregnant wife, Sharon Tate, and four other people were murdered at the Polanskis' residence in Los Angeles by cult leader Charles Manson's followers.
