Places to bring puppy

So, I have a 10 week old puppy that has had only its first round of DHPP vaccinations.

I don't want to risk the health of my puppy too much by bring it to a dog park or PetCo, but I also don't want to keep her cooped up inside and not exposed to other people. I can wait to expose her to other dogs though.

I was wondering if there are any good places in St. Mary's where I can have more peace of mind taking my puppy and where she can have new experiences, with minimal exposure to other dogs.

Thanks.

there really isn't anywhere..why don't you wait til you get your dog all its shots before you bring it out in public where you never know if you will or will not run into someone else who has a dog. i bet the puppy would be just happy if you took him/her out in the yard and played ball til its all up to date. I also would never take my dog to the dog park as i always heard others say that there were pitbulls in there and that breed is one i stay far away from as I don't trust them one bit. I have a nice fenced area and i take my dog out and let her run around in there a few times a day and she also gets to go to work with me and be around others and yes she has been exposed to other peoples dogs etc. I don't let her be around too many of them though as some just don't know how to behave.

I use to be scared of the Pits, but we have two that come here on a regular basis. I don't trust ALL Pits, but these are exceptional. I take my Dog to a Dog Park here in Calvert, and I've never had a bad expirience. It is best to get all of your new Pup's Immunizations, and then ask the Doc when you can start taking her to Doggie places. Cangratulations on your new baby. Do you have any pictures?

Mike, if you're in St. Mary's, take your pup to the dog park at Lancaster Park. There are never any dogs in the small dog area. I take Apollo all the time and only once has there been another dog for him to play with.

Why don't you invite friends over so your pup can meet new people in the comfort of his own home? Take him for walks around the neighborhood so he can sniff out new stuff and get used to walking on a leash.

Puppy has started digging in her water bowl, ugh... on the bright side perhaps she'll like the water... wish I could take her swimming at this age and see her do a corgi flop:
