Welcome to the playoffs. The Commish already put out the rules, but I’ll explain them here in my own way.
There are four rounds, the first being this weekend’s wildcard round. Each player will face off against one other person, which I’ll display here each week. Only the winner will advance to the next one at the end of the divisional round.
I will post the odd-maker’s point spreads as well as the odd-maker’s total estimated points scored for each game. You will pick your team based upon the spread, and will also pick whether there will be more points (over) or less points (under) than the odd-maker’s estimate for each game.
In round one, there are four games. This means you will have a total of eight picks...four against the spread and four (over or under) for the score estimate of each game.
After making your eight picks, assign a weight to each of them from eight (your most confident pick) down to one (your least confident pick). 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 must all be assigned. Example:
Favorite......Line......Underdog......Total Points
Falcons.......-2.......Cardinals............51
Colts..........-1.......Chargers.............51
Ravens.......-3........Dolphins............37.5
Eagles........-3........Vikings...............42

- Falcons/Cardinals o/u over...............(2)

In the example, if the Falcons win, you would get eight points. If the score of the Falcons/Cardinals game is more than 51 total points, you would get two points, since you picked “over”. If the total score is 51, then it is a push (just as it's done for the point spread). If you get them all correct, you would get 36 points (8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1 = 36).
All I need from you is your team pick, your over/under, and the weight you assigned to each, e.g. :

I feel like New England, I ended up with more points then some of the people who got in.
