nice shots! i just got a t3i as well. my first prosumer camera and i have a lot to learn.

Have you looked at the Magic Lantern add on? I have been trying to figure out how to download it to my SD card. I sounds like it would be easy, but I must be missing something because I can't get it to load to the camera once I get it on the card.

The camera is fantastic without the Magic Lantern enhancement, but I plan on shooting a lot of video with it and would like to learn it before I take it on a big trip later this year.

These shots are with the 18-55 kit lens and I also got the 55-250 mm lens. Both take very crisp pictures even though they may only be "kit" lenses. Maybe I'll be rich enough to afford the L series one day, but no time soon.

You might check out both YouTube and Vimeo for videos and info on Magic Lantern. It really augments the camera's capabilites in video and still shots. For stills it will let you take time lapse without having to buy the intervalometer. Also lets you upload color profiles for the videos and much much more.
