Playstation 1 memory card

Anyone know how to get a hold of one around here. I've tried the Game Stop, Walmart, Radio Shack and Best Buy. My kid was given several PS1 games but she has a PS2. She says she can play them on her PS2 but she needs a memory card for a PS1 for it to work. TIA.

I do not think ps1 memory card will work on her ps2. I have ps1 games that I play and save on memory but I had to use ps2 memory card.

You play PS1 games on a PS2 using a PS2 card? She has one of those so I guess I'll heve her try that. Thanks so much.

I threw mine out after I got my autographed Big & Rich CD out of it. It never played burned CDs, DVDs, DVD-R, enhanced CDs, music CDs or some PlayStation 2 titles.

I love my Wii! :banana:

I dont see how he got it to work the ps1 one memory card does not work on ours, or anyone else that I know of and the stores we went to when ps2 first came out told us the same thing.

Maybe we are doing something wrong but I just went to check it again and nope wont read any of them???

Even with a PS1 game in the console. But I know the memory cards work because I had them on the older ps1 not that long ago.


weird...maybe I need to check into it more.

I would be curious if the cards really do still work, I am thinking something happened to the PS1 card. You have tried both slots right? If the card does not work in the PS2 but it does work in the PS1, I would wonder if its the SLOT itself, beyond that I wouldn't have a clue....:shrug:

Either way, it was poor engineering on SONYs part, you should be able to save PS1 games on PS2 cards, that's just silly....

you got me. They work in the PS1 but not in my ps2. but my slots are working cause I save them on PS2. I do have the older model the big fat one, maybe that makes a difference.

Oh well I am moving to PS3 soon enough.:buddies:
