Please Help/Car Accident

Around 11:30 last night (8/28) my 76 year old mom was making a left turn into Hickory Hills when a car plowed into her from behind, then took off into Hickory Hills. It happened so fast, she didn't get a license plate or anything. From what she did see, it was something like a Jeep or Explorer, dark colored. The police took 25 minutes to arrive, leaving more than enough time for the guy to hide or get away.

The car that hit her has to have a good bit of damage as the back end of her car is demolished. The car would probably also have white paint on it (she drives a white Acura TSX). She was not hurt, THANK GOD! But, she'll have to pay a deductable plus higher insurance, etc. all because some jerk, who was either drunk, uninsured, whatever reason, took off to avoid responsibility. We are willing to pay a reward for any information that would lead us to the person who did this.

Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

But wait, there's more...
That sucks! Glad she wasn't hurt! And I hope they find the scumbag and nails his nuts to the prison walls. :huggy:

:yikes: I'm so glad she did not get seriously injured. Will the police report allow for her to leave info with all fix it shops in the area so that they can report the vehicle if it comes in for repairs...

Excellent idea.

I'm glad your Mom wasn't hurt. Something like that can certainly affect your nerves, though.

She's working on that today, and also writing a letter to put in the Enterprise in an extra effort to see if anyone saw anything.

Thank you so much to everyone for you concern. Ill pass it along to her!

Hickory Hills is not that big of community - why not do a drive thru today? Odds are any damaged vehicle will not have had enough time to be fixed.

Remax, did you call Hickory Hills and see if they'll put the word out for you? Call Pat or Pam and see if maybe they'll do a flyer or something.

Glad your Mom's okay and I hope you catch the :bleep:

I don't think the ex's wife would be too willing to go out of her way to lend me a helping hand! There's not much <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm824YYUS' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_3_15.gif' border=0></a>

Don't talk to her - call and ask Pam. Or see if the cops will call and ask them on your Mom's behalf.

The police drove through the whole place last night, but mom doesn't think they live there, that would be kind of stupid to pull right in there if they did, she thinks they drove in to hide....
