My friend got a dog from Lucky Ones about 5 years ago. She is now married and preggers and needs to find a home for this dog. She told me today that the dog has all of a suddon started tearing things up around the house and just started pooping in the house. Her husband called me today and stated that today was it and she was going to the pound. The dog is German Shepard and something mixed. Im not sure how old she is but around 5/6 I think. She has a healing broken foot but I dont know if they let it heal properly or not so shes limping. The other day the dog nipped at her daughter but I dont know why. The dog has never been known for biting. If you can help me find a home for this dog so she does not go to the pound please please let me know. I just love her but I have a dog that DOES NOT like other dogs and it would not be right to do that to her... PLEASE HELP after today shes going to the pound :(

She needs to contact Lucky Ones at 301-274-0504. Per the contract they are to be notified and dog returned to them. Possibly in pain with the broken foot so may explain the nipping.

I'm sure Lucky Ones would take the dog back. The dog probably needs vet care because of the paw.

I would hope so. They are a local rescue group that takes dogs from Tri-County animal shelter. They are supposed to take them back. She will be kept in an outside pen until a home is found. If you could find a home for her it would be best but if he is set on taking her to Tri-County she will probably be put down immediately.

I'm thinking the dog would be better off going back to Lucky Ones so she can get proper vet care. Doesn't sound like the owners are providing that, so who knows if they'll make sure the new owner does.

Wow thats true. I feel SOOOOO bad for her :( Ill tell her about lucky ones taking the dog back. I wanted to be honest and tell everyone that she did nip but I dont think shes like that at all. I hated even posting that but I thought I should.

HAHA and she does look sad in that pic. I took it a while ago with my phone so it was the only one I had LOL

Why don't you contact Lucky Ones. Many of the rescues actually require that you return a pet if you can't keep it.

Please let me know what they say at Lucky Ones. They may not take her back once they hear that she nipped and needs medical attention. May just tell her to deal with her anyway they see fit.

Does she have the contract she signed when she got the dog? The number should be on there.

Here is the number to their clinic - 301-885-0263. They should be able to give you the number to the adoption people.
