I wait until the chickens are of the coop before I poach their eggs. Then I make sure the water is boiling and I crack the egg into a very small bowl and slide it into the boiling water in order to poach it.
I have a little metal device that you can do three at a time in. I have stopped using it and just go with cracking them into the boiling water.
I just use a small bowl. Spray or coat the bowl with olive oil, crack the egg into the bowl, cover with plastic wrap and nuke for 20-30 seconds. Serve on a toasted buttered English.
