"The Arts Council of Calvert County is launching a new three-part series of poetry, art, open mic, hors d’oeuvres and wine evenings—
"Elisavietta Ritchie will kick off the series on Friday, November 16th, 5:30-7 p.m. A prize-winning author of 17 books and chapbooks of poetry and prose, as well as individual poems, stories and articles in various publications both literary and general, she will share her innovative PowerPoint presentation of GLAD I GAVE TO ART MY ALL: FROM THE ARTIST’S BEDSIDE; poems in the voices of the artist, of his wife (who many also be an artist), his models, his mistress, his dog. The audience will recognize many of the Impressionist paintings, but she also has slides of paintings by living artists, several of them local, in the poet’s collection. The hitherto-unrevealed tales behind these paintings are intriguing."
I would do some music or some poetry or performance art or something.
I would love to meet some arts-minded people in the area.
