I'm thinking about taking the family swimming/picnic there this weekend. I haven't been there for years and was wondering if anyone has been there this summer? Is it kept clean? Jellyfish? Safe environment?
Yo hablo espanol?
Yep, the sea nettles have arrived.

and the illegals!!!!!
There are a good many Hispanics (and Asians) who partake of Point Lookout facilities, but how do you know they are illegal?

Because AZ said they are!
Try Elms beach since it will be on your way to Pt. Lookout. It is FREE!! Nice beach and playground - maybe not as many illegals, not that there's anything wrong with that......![]()
I take my kids to Camp Merryelande on St. George's Island all of the time. The beach is nice and quiet during the week but crowded on the weekends. The jellyfish are just starting to come in down there but in 4 straight days of being there we only saw one. There are picnic tables on the beach. There is a charge to get in only on the weekends but it's free during the week.![]()
The road is still bumpy but I've seen sport bikes in there so maybe it has improved. Beaches, Cottages & Camping in Maryland if you want to see pics.
Thanx, Socki. I didn't realize there was so much there. I like the beach camping idea....
