RICHMOND, Va. -- An 82-year-old Henrico County woman is charged with animal cruelty and gun counts after police said she shot and killed her own dog.

Police said Rosella Wooldridge used a 38-caliber revolver to shoot the dog. A Henrico County Police spokesman said Wooldridge was upset that the dog had been running away.

The spokesman said that when an officer approached Wooldridge on Monday to investigate a report of shots being fired, she threw the gun and tried to outrun the officer. :lmao: :lmao:

Police said Wooldridge has been charged with animal cruelty and shooting a firearm in a public place.

Watch it
:killingme :lmao: I'm surprised the cop wasn't laughing so hard that he couldn't catch her after she started running. That's hilarious.

Poor dog- I can't imagine why that dog was running away so much! :sarcasm: She sounds like a nut job.

I'm going to get hell for this, but how is shooting a dog animal cruelty?

As long as the shot was well placed, and the dog didn't suffer, does that really constitute animal cruelty?

If they convict her of animal cruelty than they need to start bringing in buses to the meat processing plants to arrest everyone that works there, oh, and anyone that checks in a deer during hunting season..

I think only cops can shoot dogs.
