MSNBC contributor Brittany Packnett Cunningham argued Monday that rising crime in New York City is not the fault of the Defund the Police movement but rather the police themselves.

"This rise in crime is not the fault of the movement," said Cunningham, a former member of President Barack Obama's 21st Century Policing Task Force. "It's actually the fault of the police."

"Why should we keep funding systems and institutions that keep rendering themselves ineffective?" she asked.

To "ensure truly safe streets," Cunningham suggested further discussion of gun control, livable wages, fair housing, and education.

yes really .... if the police weren't out murdering blacks ... there wouldn't have been BLM and Defund the Police

It would be nice to just close down the Police in these cities to show the fallacy of this idiot's response.
We have been tossing money ate black communities for years and gotten nothing for it.
Do they really want safe places to live?
I don't know. I cannot tell what is on their minds.
But do they testify in court? Do they act as witness's to crimes?. Do they cooperate with police who try to investigate murders and robberies.? Do they try to run the dope dealers out of their communities? Do they do anything to stop the killings? Or---Do they know who is in their community that is causing the problem and ignore them?
